Kylie Davis
Hey everyone! My name is Kylie Davis and I am a recent graduate of Clemson University with a Master’s degree in Athletic Leadership. Sports have always been such a huge part of my life and they have helped shape me into the person I am today. I played sports my whole life up until I went to college in Bethany College. During my time at Bethany I was the Head Equipment Manager for the varsity football team. I was able to learn so many key components about the game of football, and that is really where my passion lies.
This past April I was fortunate enough to get to attend the NFL Draft in Detroit, Michigan! I attended with SideLine Sports and I had the time of my life. It was such a surreal moment, a dream come true. It was amazing to see another Clemson Tiger, Nate Wiggins, get drafted. He’s moving to Baltimore which just so happens to be my favorite team! Aside from that, I was able to learn more about the business side of things, and the social media aspect which all play vital roles in making something like the draft operate.
One question I’ve been asking myself, what does my life look like in the sports industry now that I have graduated? I would love to work in Athlete Development in primarily at the Division III level. I want to help student-athletes find other passions outside of sports since I strongly believe it is imperative to have a backup plan. At the end of the day, student-athletes are humans too and they needs support and someone to advocate for them. That is what I plan to do, that is what I am passionate about. I strongly believe that all student-athletes need a mentor, friend, and someone who will fight for their needs and rights.
What do I want to convey on my platform with SideLine Sports? I want to provide interesting articles and stories to our audience. I want to allow them the chance to be caught up to date on all things sports and of course on their favorite athletes and schools. I want to be able to gain knowledge and experience that I will be able to take with me for a lifetime. Working with SideLine Sports have given me so many amazing opportunities and I cannot wait to see what’s next. I can’t wait to start producing content and expanding my skill set.
