The Twins were coming off a long road trip, but were trending up . The slumping Rangers were in town and Minnesota was looking to keep the momentum going. Twins pitching in game one with Bailey Ober was a quality start giving up only 4 hits and 2 earned runs to give Minnesota a chance at a win. They did just that, as Alex Kirilloff hit the go-ahead Homerun in the Bottom of the 4th and that was all they needed. The bullpen allowed no hits and no runs in the final four frames to give the Twins a 3-2 win in game one of the three-game series.

In Game 2, the Twins offense got on the board in the first inning on a force in walk and that was all of the offense Minnesota had until the Bottom of the 7th inning when Carlos Correa’s sac-fly cut the deficit to 1 run. Another go-ahead Homerun from Alex Kirilloff was the difference in this game as well. The 3-run Homerun secured the series win. Chris Paddack went 5.0 IP allowing only 4 hits & 2 earned runs to contribute to the Minnesota win.

Minnesota in Game 3, were not the same. Facing Texas Rangers pitcher Gerson Garabito in his MLB debut. The Twins could not figure him or the bullpen out. 3 hits and 2 runs were all the offense could generate. Pablo Lopez struggles continued giving up seven hits and 6 runs in just 4.2IP. Corey Seager was a thorn in the Twins side as he cranked out 2 homeruns & 3 RBIs to dominate Minnesota pitching in the series finale.

Minnesota continues their homestand as division rival Kansas City Royals come to town for a crucial 4-game series. The Royals and division leading Cleveland Guardians have been hot as of late, and wins are important to gain any ground in this division.
