The Washington Commanders have been busy reshaping their roster in the 2025 offseason. With a mix of veteran signings, strategic re-signings and notable departures, they’re setting their sights on another successful season.

Quarterback Stability

With Jayden Daniels at the helm, the Commanders are confident in their quarterback position. Daniels, the 2023 Heisman winner, was drafted second overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. His dynamic ability as a runner and passer makes him an exciting prospect for the team’s future.

Wide Receiver Revamp

  • Michael Gallup signed with the Commanders, bringing his 266
career receptions and 21 touchdowns to the team. Gallup’s experience and skill will undoubtedly bolster their receiving corps.
  • Deebo Samuel is another great pick up for the team. Coming off of a down year he has much to prove and maybe a new team will help him.
  • Terry McLaurin, Noah Brown and Luke McCaffrey are also part of the Commanders’ wide receiver lineup.

Defensive Adjustments

•Nick Emmanwori a safety prospect from South Carolina, caught the team’s attention. His athleticism and versatility make him an attractive pick for the Commanders’ defense.

• Will Harris was signed in free agency to replace Jeremy Chinn, who left for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Coaching Staff and Front Office

  • Dan Quinn was hired as the team’s head coach, bringing his extensive coaching experience to the table last year and it has paid off.
  • Adam Peters joined as the general manager, tasked with recalibrating the franchise with his recent draft picks and his first offseason noise has been made
  • Lance Newmark was appointed assistant general manager, and Tim McGrath became the senior director of player health and performance.

The Commanders are positioning themselves for another successful season with these strategic moves. Their focus now shifts to the 2025 NFL Draft, where they’ll look to bolster their roster with young talent.
